Welcome to the CSV Configuration File Editor for XCFE

CSV Configuration File Editor for XCFE (XCFE/cfg) is a web service to update list of parameters editable with XML Configuration File Editor (XCFE). It allows to:

The user interface is split into 5 area. On top and in the bottom, there are descriptive header and footer. On left there a menu panel follow by a short sub area displaying useful tricks. The central area shows main information and control button. Just between this area and the footer, there's a status bar to display informative messages and errors.

Introduction

There's, on the left side, a menu containing 7 buttons. The first one, named "Help", shows a tab containing current information message. The second button, named "Edit", switches to the editor tab where entry forms are present to update CSV configuration parameters. The last button, named "Back to XCFE", go back to the XML Configuration File Editor (XCFE). Other buttons are linked to direct actions such as.

Edit form

This module will help user to edit the CSV configuration file of XCFE in a table composed by 5 columns. The first column, named "Element list", is used to detail the path to access the XML element where fields are separated by comma. The second column, named "Parameter", is used to target a XML attribute or, if empty, it targets the content of the XML tag. The third column, named "Description", is used to define the corresponding label in the XCFE form. The forth column, name "Type", is used to set the value type from "check", "float", "ip", "mac" or "string". The last column, name "Default value", is used to define the default value which is presented in each input tip.

By right-clicking in each row, a pop-up menu appears to present three actions labeled "Append new entry", "Insert new entry" and "Remove current entry". Action "Append new entry" adds a row entry after the current one. Action "Insert new entry" a new row before the current one. And action "Remove current entry" deletes current row.
