XML configuration form

Welcome to the XML Configuration File Editor.

XML Configuration File Editor (XCFE) is a web service to update the specific XML configuration file. It allows to set all parameters defined in the associated CSV configuration file. It allows to:

• load the XML configuration file from a server,
• save a modified XML configuration file to a server,
• apply modification on server and restart associated daemon,
• import a XML configuration file from local file-system,
• and export a modified XML configuration to local file-system.

The user interface is split into 5 area. On top and in the bottom, there are descriptive header and footer. On left there a menu panel follow by a short sub area displaying useful tricks. The central area shows main information and control button. Just between this area and the footer, there's a status bar to display informative messages and errors.

Introduction

There's, on the left side, a menu containing from 8 to 9 buttons. The first one, named "Help", shows a tab containing current information message. The second button, named "Edit", switches to the editor tab where entry forms are present to update specific XML configuration parameters. Next to the last button, named "XCFE Config", go to the CSV Configuration Editor for XCFE (XCFE/cfg) to specify which XML fields are editable. Other buttons are linked to direct actions such as:

• the "Load" button which is used to load the XML configuration file from a server,
• the "Save" button which is used to save a modified XML configuration file to a server,
• the "Apply" button which is used to apply modification on server and restart associated daemon to take into account of last changes,
• the "Import" button which is used to import a XML configuration file from local file-system,
• the "Export" button which is used to export a XML configuration file to local file-system.

Last button allows to log in (or out) and to edit system configuration.
